polaroids from my visit with jacquelyn

we've been friends since before we were born. our grandfathers (on both of our mothers side) we're friends when they were pre-teens.
my mom and her aunt are best friends.

i went from the 26th-29th to vegas (her home) to visit before she went to hong kong for a short semester abroad. my visit was a good time.

she'll be sending more pictures to me. and i'll post those later.
but here are 3 polaroids.

fevers and mirrors

over the summer i found this peice of mirror for 3 dollers.
so i bought it thinking it'd be great for a project i had previously dreampt up in my head.
so, finding this made this dream a reality.
in 2002, bright eyes came out with my favorite of their records "fevers and mirrors"
there's a song called: Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh
in this song i got inspired by these beautiful lyrics to create this peice.
"You combed your hair inside that mirror;
The one you painted blue, and glued with jewelry tears.
Something 'bout those bright colors,
Would always make you feel better."
and so i made this mirror. i didn't have a digital camera. but got one after christmas.
and some of the peices came off because the glue from the hot glue gun weren't strong to hold some of them.
so now its complete :)

than just chit chatted on the way home.

than got home. and went to my sister's school christmas program.

tomorrow im gunna help my nana make tamales from scratch.

and than im gunna make cookies from scratch.

stress

i wasn't able to sign up for classes until today at 2p.m.
i waited and exactally at 2p.m. i was signing up for classes.
i only got 2 out of 5.
2 im on a wait list.
and i didn't get bio, it even had a full wait list.
so, i was debating whether i should be persistant and show up anyway to see what happens or just admit defeat and take the course i was originally suppose to take (anthropology).
i decided not to put on some more unnecissary stress.
i originally didn't want to take it because it was online.
so im gunna take anthro. online.
i'm a mess, but i can organize myself. i'll need to be for next semester.


busy weekend.

i than had a eye doctor's appointment and got some new specs.

they'll be ready for me in 1 1/2 weeks... yay!

the day before thanksgiving, two of my cousins came into town. i took them to see twilight (my second time) and than i took them to the record shop. i bought 3 vinyls. im glad they came to visit. i made them cds :) i saw janae after. miss that that girl. i need to make her some goodies.

it turned out nice. i went to the visalia rescue mission to serve thanksgiving to the homeless. i was there for just over an hour. and im very glad i went. we had it at talina's, karen's friends house. my dad came later when we woke up. and it was good until it got a little awkward at around 8'o clock. it got a little uncomfortable, but luckily talina's ex came by and brought his guitar and sang songs. it was awesome.

now i need to continue working on my paper for lifespan and my take home test for psych since i decided to not go out of town after all, so since the family is out of town i need to utilize my quiet time.

adolescent interview

in my lifespan class i have to do an adolescent interview (13-16) and i did it on my cousin madasen. it took longer than i expected, but it took as long as she said it would. it went on for around 1-1 1/2 hours.
i'll need to start on that.
i need to work on my personal essay for english.
and i need to work on my take home test for psych.

the lion and the lamb

i saw twilight today it was good. im planning to see it again.

i'm kinda disapointed.

i'm kinda disapointed because i was looking at my planner and trying to plan out all the things i'll be doing over my winter break.

i wanted to go to la for a week. i havent been there since june. and i miss it. a lot. plus family is gunna be there. ana, helen and mark are gunna be in town from chicago also.

but it turns out that i'd most likely NOT gunna happen.

cuz i have to babysit on jan 3 and jan 5 is my dads birthday and i also have to babysit on jan 8.

i cant go before that because theres finals,

than its:

-than christmas.

-than vegas to see jacquelyn before she leaves to hong kong a semester abroad.

-than back before new years.

i wont have enough time to visit la

so i might go on the 15th or 16th cuz the 19th theres no school.

today i was really into the book i just checked out from the library, but i had to turn it in eventhough i checked it out on monday...
what happen was i checked it out and today i looked it up and realized its the third book in a sequential series. im into it, so i gotta wait till december 1st... which is when the first book is due back.
