we've been friends since before we were born. our grandfathers (on both of our mothers side) we're friends when they were pre-teens.
my mom and her aunt are best friends.

i went from the 26th-29th to vegas (her home) to visit before she went to hong kong for a short semester abroad. my visit was a good time.

she'll be sending more pictures to me. and i'll post those later.
but here are 3 polaroids.

fevers and mirrors

over the summer i found this peice of mirror for 3 dollers.
so i bought it thinking it'd be great for a project i had previously dreampt up in my head.
so, finding this made this dream a reality.
in 2002, bright eyes came out with my favorite of their records "fevers and mirrors"
there's a song called: Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh
in this song i got inspired by these beautiful lyrics to create this peice.
"You combed your hair inside that mirror;
The one you painted blue, and glued with jewelry tears.
Something 'bout those bright colors,
Would always make you feel better."
and so i made this mirror. i didn't have a digital camera. but got one after christmas.
and some of the peices came off because the glue from the hot glue gun weren't strong to hold some of them.
so now its complete :)

after finals was over i went home to lay down on my bed for a second

we went to fresno.

had some indian food (yum)

went to the mall (bought an awesome mug at urban)
stopped by the vinyl record store (overwhelming)
went to Teazers: world tea market (i love tea)
than just chit chatted on the way home.

than got home. and went to my sister's school christmas program.

tomorrow im gunna help my nana make tamales from scratch.

and than im gunna make cookies from scratch.

sunday. advent potluck at church.

toxic

how does one cope in dealing with someone who is toxic?
cut them out of your life, right?
well what if the toxic person in your life is your mother?

stress

i wasn't able to sign up for classes until today at 2p.m.
i waited and exactally at 2p.m. i was signing up for classes.
i only got 2 out of 5.
2 im on a wait list.
and i didn't get bio, it even had a full wait list.
so, i was debating whether i should be persistant and show up anyway to see what happens or just admit defeat and take the course i was originally suppose to take (anthropology).
i decided not to put on some more unnecissary stress.
i originally didn't want to take it because it was online.
so im gunna take anthro. online.
i'm a mess, but i can organize myself. i'll need to be for next semester.


busy weekend.
tonight. tomorrow night. saturday night. sunday day.


next week finals.

tuesday: GCF had a hotdog giveaway. went well... and went fast.

i than had a eye doctor's appointment and got some new specs.

they'll be ready for me in 1 1/2 weeks... yay!
